We’re seeking an experienced systems administrator who’s eager to further develop technological skills on a worldwide stage. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing key strategies for the team. RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain essential technology infrastructure both OnPrem and Cloud-based, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, software and hardware
Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiatives
Handle business-critical technology tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace
Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights
Work with internal and external partners to communicate status, activities and achievements
Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to infrastructure issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new infrastructure when needed
Manage cloud-based internal infrastructure requirements, including servers, inter-account connectivity, firewalls, security updates
Manage system requirements, including performance and availability
Perform troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
QUALIFICATIONS
Multiple years of experience in an admin role in Technology or Engineering
Experience and interest in data analysis (preferably with the ability to query data using SQL)
Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically AWS)
Expertise in analyzing and resolving issues with large-scale distributed systems and enterprise applications
Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple work streams simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work within aggressive schedules
Ability to analyze and evaluate problems, offer solutions and determine when more help is required or when escalation is necessary
Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email)
Action-oriented, flexible, resourceful, and able to operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
