The opportunity
This position is for a DataStage SME entailing production support, within TEVA Integration MW team in the Cross Application Delivery unit. He/ She will be a Lead, mentoring and guiding developers supporting production interfaces by analyzing and troubleshooting the issues, and communicating the analysis to Global Technical lead, and acting as the support center for all DataStage Production interfaces.
How you’ll spend your day
DataStage SME responsibilities include the following in the Middleware Interfaces support area.
Lead and mentor DataStage team provdiing support to interfaces
Develop and guide the team in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
Evaluate team's work processes and best practices and implement changes to streamline operations.
Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, problems in order to maximize the return on IT and Business investments.
Review and translate functional designs into technical solutions for change requests
Hands-on development, support and troubleshoot production DataStage interfaces
Provide follow-up on all issues and solutions
Work closely with IT business, support, MW, SAP and boundary system development teams
Perform proactive monitoring and send daily/ weekly / monthly reports to relevant stakeholders
Work on ticketing system in creating the incidents, follow up on assigned incidents and update incidents with rlevant details including root cause analysis
Participate in oncall rotations
Occasionally provide after hours support
Your experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field
10+ years of experience in DataStage required
4+ years of experience in mentoring and Leading DataStage developers required
Strong ETL DataStage development skills in both serial and Parallel editions
Experience with all phases of an implementation including design, build, configuration, testing, and support
Strong SQL and analytical logic to build and develop efficient SQL queries
Experience with Shell scripting
Experience with development of complex mappings against IDOC and RFC structures
Experience in implementing SOA concepts.
Experience on maintenance and support of production ETL processes.
Experience with UC4/ SPLUNK,/ MFT /IBM/ DataPower/ RDA a plus
