Google Engineering Manager, Engineering Productivity in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience working collaboratively on projects and influencing engineering teams.

  • Experience in test automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, or building tools and testing frameworks.

  • Experience with software development in one or more general purpose programming languages.

  • Excellent communication skills.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google.   • Engage with partner teams to build development infrastructure that analyzes the effect of developer changes across the entire software stack.

  • Build and lead a team of engineering productivity software engineers focused on improving developer velocity, scalability, and reliability of Ad product development.

  • Define the team strategy and roadmap with buy-in from stakeholders. Own, develop, and execute on the long-term strategy to make development infrastructure reliable, debuggable, fast, efficient, and future-proof.
