Walmart Global Logistics is a newly launched business that offers international freight forwarding and transportation services to Walmart marketplace sellers. Our mission is to simplify cross-border trade for sellers of all sizes through a people led, technology enabled global logistics network. We are looking for a dynamic entrepreneur to lead the development of our logistics strategy and build end-to-end logistics services to solve complex and unique customer needs. In this role, you'll build the global logistics services we offer to sellers by working closely with marketplace and logistics teams on complex projects to scope, design, implement, and launch new logistics services. The role is based in Bentonville, AR. and reports to the Senior Director of Global Logistics.

  • Thinking Big - You will build the strategic vision for global logistics services and design the roadmap to exceed customer expectations.

  • Deliver for the Customer - You will sponsor and lead customer engagements to understand needs and create services that they love.

  • Moving Fast - Use your international freight forwarding industry domain expertise to identify and prioritize the development of capabilities that deliver unique customer value. You will remove obstacles and barriers to deliver growth.

  • Lead the Commercial Product - You will lead the development of goals, plans, and commercial requirements to drive growth. Lead the execution of those plans to launch services, including ocean freight (FCL, LCL), air freight, and adjacent services (drayage, cartage, CFS consolidation and deconsolidation).

  • Work Cross-Functionally - Communication and collaboration are key to your success. You will provide strategic leadership for internal and external partners to deliver on your strategy across product, business development, tech, and operational organizations.

  • Attract and Develop Talent - You will hire and mentor a team of global logistics leaders that delivers results while living our Walmart Values. You will be a Walmart culture champion that drives a positive and optimistic team environment.

  • You have a background in transportation, supply chain, and cross border logistics process design.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related area and 8 years' experience in global freight forwarding, ocean or air freight product management (non-technical), customer solutions management, ocean container trade lane management (vessel or non-vessel operating), or other relevant global logistics experience.

8 years' supervisory experience.
