TheCopywriter writes copy that supports prAna’s brand initiatives and marketingstrategies. This person reports to and works closely with the Content Manager.As a nimble team, they ensure all copy is captivating and consistently onbrand.

Essential Job Functions:

1) WebFlips

  • Be a product expert: research featuredproducts with cross-functional team.
  • Draft copy for web flips.

2) Emails

  • Be a product expert: research featuredproducts with cross-functional team.
  • Write initial draft of Women’s emails.
  • Write initial draft of Men’s emails.

3) HQStories

  • Collect and craft Stories posts.

4) ProductDescriptions

  • Write and manage copy creation for new productdescriptions.

5) AdditionalResponsibilities

  • Writecompelling copy consistently.
  • Be aproduct expert. Research; write; edit; repeat.
  • Protect and manage prAna’s brand voicefor use in all direct to consumer, wholesale, and employee-facing materials.
  • Refines voice seasonally based on salesperformance, brand equity scores, feedback, and external trends.
  • Facilitates discussion and exploration ofthe voice with key stakeholders.
  • Keeps abreast of consumer trends relevantto the prAna customer and ensures our voice stays relevant within themarketplace.
  • Works with the following teams: ArtDirectors, Sales, Merchandising, Product Design & Development,Sustainability & Social Responsibility.
  • Documents, reviews, and manages proofingprocess.
  • Keeps updated copy guidelines for brandconsistency.

Education and ExperienceRequirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g.Journalism, Creative Writing, Liberal Arts)
  • Be prepared to discuss top 5 authors, books,magazines & content-committed brands
  • Excellent copywriting skills above allelse
  • 3-5 years experience as acopywriter
  • Experience writing copy in contentmanagement systems
  • Experience writing copy for aconsumer-facing brand in a direct-to-consumer business
  • SEO and Content Marketing experience abonus

Technical Skills and Experience :

  • MS Word Suite (Excel, Outlook,Powerpoint, Word)
  • Must have proven writing capabilities,with a strong grasp of spelling, grammar and creative expression relevant tobrand-specific copywriting
  • Candidates will be asked to complete atwo-part writing assignment to demonstrate writing skills.
