The successful Inventory Analyst will support the Wholesale(Specialty Retail, Majors, REI, International) channel decisions regardinginventory planning. The primary focus ofthe position is to develop, maintain and communicate inventory tools tomaximize sales opportunity and minimize inventory risk. The position will havea significant role in the Wholesale Channel seasonal buildup planning andanalysis. The Inventory Analyst will be the key contact for day to dayoperations related to the Wholesale Channel, marketing and promotions and crosschannel optimization within the Planning Department, including communicationand administrative duties.

Essential Functions :

1) Wholesale Support

  • Keycontact for all Wholesale sales team communication for all matters related toinventory planning and flow
  • Maintaininventory levels necessary to meet projected sales demands through monitoringand anticipating the rate of sale
  • Developexcel based tools to review historical sales data to provide for accurate projections/ weeks of life planning
  • Performinventory planning and management, monitoring and analysis, and attend meetingsfor Wholesale Core Style Replenishment Program
  • Supportthe seasonal inventory buildup by providing clear and concise data and analysison inventory performance at Wholesale for review with Sr Product PlanningManager.
  • Reviewstyle sell through and inventory levels to determine and reviewunder/over-stock situations with Sr Product Planning Manager
  • Communicateinformation effectively internally with Allocator, Shipping and QA Managers regardingproduct flow and processing
  • Participate in Wholesale Channel cross functional meetings withMerch and Sales teams
  • Support inventory sell through by early identification of risksand opportunities as it relates to excess inventory
  • Support wholesale liquidation needs with refreshed liquidationmodel ats files, order and transfer management, and pricing analysis
  • UtilizeSharePoint Planning site to communicate inventory reporting
  • Monitorand communicate Wholesale order entry throughout buildup process to identifyopportunities and risks

2) Production

  • Participatein weekly Ship ability meeting to communicate back to Sr Product PlanningManager on wholesale production issues as well as partner with production topresent solutions
  • Updateand communicate reporting for inventory availability, top styles and rankings
  • Responsiblefor production lead times analysis and communication with wholesale team as itrelates to preseason deadlines and in-season opportunities
  • Responsibleto maintain Style Block status and data management to maximize ATS reporting

3) InventoryManagement

  • Provideweekly reporting on inventory position, excess and deficits to identify ways tomaximize inventory across channels by performing GSP sweeping / monitoring
  • Maintainwholesale seasonal size scales by merchandise categories and channels byanalysis of sizing trends, missed opportunity, new size ranges and sizingexceptions
  • Supportseasonal inventory sell thru by early identification of risks &opportunities as it relates to excess/deficits
  • Utilizeand continue to build SharePoint Planning folders to communicate inventoryreporting
  • Supportseasonal data management needs by identifying and communicating carry overs,leap frog carry-overs, SMUs, seasonal price changes
  • Prepare,refresh and share Forecast Variance model reporting to wholesale salesmanagement

4) Marketing Support

  • Pointof contact for Marketing requests for inventory availability
  • Responsiblefor all data entry / upload of marketing event product orders
  • Communicatewith Allocator, Shipping and QA Managers regarding Event orders and processingdetails
  • Responsiblefor post event reporting and direction to Returns and Accounting departments

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in apparel buying or Inventory analysisor management (3-5 years required)
  • Retail Management System experience required,Full Circle preferred
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel and Proficientwith Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Understanding of EDIpreferred
