For our Region Central & Northern Europe at Barilla Deutschland GmbH in Cologne, we are looking for a for a Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Specialist (fmd) who will support the infrastructure manager to carry out the teams assignment.

Job Purpose

As an Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Specialist , you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our company’s technology backbone. You’ll oversee proactive and reactive cybersecurity efforts, manage asset inventory, and lead project and incident management. Your work aligns with ISO27001 standards, emphasizing process definition and adherence. Regular travel to our Celle plant and occasional visits to other Barilla locations are part of the role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Project Participation: You’ll actively engage in local and centrally initiated projects. Autonomy and teamwork are equally important.

  • Collaboration with Service Providers: Work closely with various service providers, including helpdesk, local and global consultants, and cybersecurity experts. Interact with the central infrastructure team on common topics like network, licenses, and policies.

  • Cybersecurity Focus: Serve as the local infrastructure team’s entry point for cybersecurity matters. Collaborate with the infrastructure manager and central security team on security-related projects.

  • Infrastructure Monitoring and Management: Ensure the functionality and performance of our company’s infrastructure. Monitor global infrastructure components, including monitoring tools, backup systems, servers, and network devices.

  • Continuous Improvement: Enhance infrastructure reliability, emphasizing cybersecurity, disaster recovery planning, monitoring tools, and asset management. Leverage internal and external expertise for support.

  • Software and Hardware Inventory: Take responsibility for software and hardware inventory, covering servers, network equipment, and end-user devices.

    Your Profile

  • Education and Experience : Education and Experience: A university degree in computer science or relevant training (e.g. IT-Specialist in Systems Integration), coupled with 1-2 years of IT or computer science work experience.

  • Language Skills: Fluent in German and proficient in English.

  • Technical Competencies:

  • Good network knowledge, ideally with experience handling Cisco switches (Catalyst) and Cisco Next Generation Firewall.

  • Familiarity with VMware and Microsoft-based systems.

  • Experience working with ISO 27001.

  • Exposure to vulnerability management and incident management.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Effective teamwork and communication.

  • Analytical, solution-oriented thinking.

  • Independence and structured work approach.

  • Project management experience.

  • Driver’s License: useful but not necessary.
