Job Description

This role offers an excellent career opportunity for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our sales team, contributing to the expansion of our business. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing topline revenue from the sale of Danfoss products through the development and maintenance of long-term strategic relationships with new and existing direct and indirect customers within the water and heavy industry.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Achieve sales growth in assigned area

  • Develop and implement sales plans and build a comprehensive customer data base.

  • Increase sales opportunities and use of Danfoss product offerings with existing customers, by up-selling and cross-selling. Pursue sale opportunities with potential customers.

  • Research and scope technical solutions required to meet industry specific, customer needs or unmet needs, and recommend the solution/s that optimizes value and satisfaction for customer and Danfoss.

  • Identify and target new customers as well as growing existing customer base.

  • Participate in the preparation of tender documentation and submissions

  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and solution presentations to potential and existing customers, industry groups and consultants.

  • Participate in sales meetings along with trade shows as required.

  • Engages and secures input from all necessary customer solution stakeholders and decision makers, adapts solutions to ensure necessary support and commitment.

  • Cultivate effective long-term relationships with customers/potential customers through regular and meaningful contact. Manage and resolve conflicts with customers. Coordinate and communicate cross-regional projects.

  • Collaborate with other sales and technical staff to ensure opportunities are followed up and progressed.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of VSDs and their applications (strongly preferred)

  • Experience in the Water and Heavy Industry

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronic OR extensive electrical background)

  • Proven technical sales experience in acquiring new business as well as maintaining relationships.

  • High attention to detail, sense of urgency, resourceful, self-motivated, and persistent

  • Exceptional communication and a very strong grasp of English in both verbal and written form

  • Customer service oriented

  • Good interpersonal skills, Team player

  • Current driver’s license

  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM would be advantageous.
