Position Summary    

As an Automated Inspection (Vision) System Technician in CBN Secure Technologies Inc. (CBN STI)’s p lant o perations group, you will be responsible for calibrating and optimizing the Vision System production equipment software models that are used to inspect various secure polycarbonate documents ( e.g . Virginia’s Driver Licenses and Identification (DL/ID) cards ) in our temperature controlled, clean-room environment.

What You Will Do

• C onfigure, calibrate, modify and optimize and vision  (automated inspection) systems;  

• Identify  vision system improvements that will improve operational efficiency and/or quality;

• Maintain daily logs of all work, complete shift reports, inspections forms, system change records, operation reports and checklists; and

• Various other duties and responsibilities. 

Qualifications    

Knowledge and Experience

• College diploma  in technical field or  an equivalent combination of education (high school, GED) and rel evant experience (2+ years)

• Computer literacy

• Familiarity with quality control practices and methodologies is an asset, but not required

• Previous experience in the print industry is an asset, but not required

  Skills and Abilities

• Analytical (troubleshooting/problem-solving) skills

• Organization/time management skills

• Communication skills (verbal and written)

Mandatory Requirements    

• Ability to work a variety of shifts

• Ability to work on your feet for prolonged periods

• Ability to lift/carry up to 30  lbs
