Emerson HSE Specialist in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary:

Working closely with facilities, BU HSE teams, and Operations teams within the SPARK Campus to carry-out crucial HSE activities not limited to inspections, audits, training, reporting, monitoring, & coordinating to ensure that entire SPARK campus operations are in conformance/compliance to Emerson’s HSE Management System, ISO standards, OSHA guidelines and to that of local legal requirements!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Review and acknowledgment of key HSE requirements for Emerson’s spark operations

Be the first point of contact for any HSE-related matters of spark facility.

Coordinating HSE activities as per the plan for each BU & facilities operations to meet all the requirements of ISO standards, Emerson’s HSE MS, and legal requirements.

Conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company values & programs and federal/state occupational safety regulations.

Identifies safety hazards and creates\implements recommendations for work process and procedure improvements.

Performing daily, weekly, & monthly site safety walk-downs across SPARK operations.

Maintaining, and continuously improving HSE documentation including HSE policies, procedures, processes, training records, supervising information etc.

Owning the incident investigation for any hazard, near-miss or incident reported within SPARK Campus using VelocityEHS platform.

Implementing training plan and training matrix for the campus as per Emerson MEA training plan.

Coordinating with various partners within SPARK to acquire the monitoring information and presenting the same to HSE Manager.

Coordinating with external customers including training providers, vendors, logistics partners, contractors, customers, and representatives from authorities on all matters relating to Health & Safety.

Liaising with BU HSE representatives on day-to-day basis in order to perform technical HSE inspections.

Conducting SPARK HSE induction for all new joiners, visitors, customers and executives.

Performing Legal Health & Safety assessment on annual basis for SPARK campus operations.

Working closely with the facilities team to implement SOPs for various facilities operations and to update SOPs on a periodic basis.

Measuring and supervising HSE performance of the operations as per the set criteria of KPIs and reporting the performance information to the line manager on weekly basis.

Participation in various development projects including waste management, IT SharePoint site development, CSR-related activities, etc.

Who you are?

  • NEBOSH IGC or similar HSE qualifications

  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Good analytical/critical thinking

  • Provide evidence of daring sales results

  • For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in occupational health & safety, Safety Management, or Equivalent

  • proven experience in EHS function within a large manufacturing organization

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  1. Membership of IOSH, or any other international OHS body

  2. Environmental experience a plus

  3. Experience with Velocity EHS Software.
