The project manager will actively participate in the implementation of projects related to the integration and transformation of EL Group entities. The person will be responsible for coordinating and implementing projects and monitoring all synergies. The person will work jointly with the leaders of the business units as well as all the departments for the implementation of actions to identify opportunities for improvement and the development of expanded offers with all EL entities and ensure effective management of deadlines thanks to your expertise in project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a project manager for various mandates affecting several spheres of the organization

  • Perform needs analysis, coordinate the implementation of actions and perform post-implementation follow-ups

  • Work on the development of more commercial projects, with a market analysis and a value creation approach.

  • Development and monitoring of the schedule, budget, quality management plan, human resources, communication plan, risk management plan

  • Establish and publish the project portfolio management KPI dashboard and update all presentations

  • Development of tools and methodology aimed at best management practices

  • Ensure the management of projects for the continuous improvement of operational processes in order to promote the application of best management practices and increase the efficiency of operations

  • Participate in the improvement of business processes in order to maximize performance in terms of productivity, efficiency, simplification of processes, quality and cost reduction, and thus improve overall performance

  • Perform data collection and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement;

  • As part of projects, participate in the constant improvement of productivity levels, reduction of scrap rates, production times, simplification of processes and annual production costs

  • Provide support and structure to other departments as part of their project management and continuous improvement activities

  • Ensure that Essilor's Health, Safety and Environment policies are reinforced and are an integral part of the business process improvement process

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in business administration, project management or other relevant field;

  • Certification in PMP project management

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in project management or continuous improvement with tangible and demonstrated success

  • At least 3 years of experience in managing projects related to company integrations and managing different stakeholders

  • At least 1 year experience in optical industry

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies; (developing and monitoring the baseline of content, schedule, budget, resources, communication, procurement, risk and quality management)

  • Ease in preparing and presenting presentations to executives with files, tables and analysis

  • Fluent english written and spoken is mandatory

  • Bilingualism (english/french), spoken and written an asset

  • May be called upon to travel on different shifts

  • Available for occasional travel in Canada and United States

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Full-time role (37.5 hours per week)

  • Work location based in Etobicoke, ON

  • Hybrid work based on company policy

  • Benefits eligibility based on company policy and eligibility

  • Salary range $42-$50/hr

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
