Bank Of Colorado Credit Administrator in Fort Collins, Colorado

Assist in the overall credit management of the bank including, but not limited to, assisting Senior Management in ensuring the accuracy of loan requests, developing and maintaining appropriate policies and procedures for efficient and consistent underwriting, and preparation of board and management reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. Prepares and ensures the integrity of management and Board reports as required, including preparation of CECL narrative;

  1. Reviews the data integrity of the Bank's loan accounting system and makes recommendations for improving data integrity;

  2. Assists in reviewing loan underwriting and supporting documentation, included in loan evaluations submitted for approval, to ensure accuracy and integrity;

  3. Research regulatory mandates as requested to help determine optimal procedures within the Bank;

  4. Assists in developing and authoring Bank loan policy and procedures;

  5. Serves as Secretary of Senior Loan Committee;

  6. Understands/ becomes familiar with Bank's existing software systems, relative to application, underwriting, documentation preparation, delivery, booking, disbursement, and reporting;

  7. Assists in maintaining and administering loan management systems including Bukers, Suntell, DecisionPro, Co-Star, Lexis Nexis, etc;

  8. Ensures that credit analysis requests for the agricultural and commercial credit analysis groups are completed timely, that these groups are adequately staffed, assignments are rotated, and that billing for these groups' services is accurate;

  9. Assists the Senior Loan Officer Group in the management of bank OREO properties and force placed insurance;

  10. Leads/assists in various projects as assigned;

  11. Regular and reliable attendance;

  12. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: General knowledge of bank lending policies and procedures; General knowledge of management practices and principles; General knowledge of banking laws and regulations; General knowledge of loan underwriting and approval procedures; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Access, etc.; Have a working knowledge, or gain a working knowledge soon after appointment, of the bank's various software systems; Knowledge in basic loan accounting; Strong PC and data query skills are required; Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; and Ability to function as a team player and leader.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A college degree, with an emphasis in business, accounting, economics, finance, or a related discipline is required; and Three or more years of experience, with a good understanding of a bank's loan process from application through delivery and reporting.
