This position reports directly to the Production Manager. This position is responsible for facilitating the mold change schedule and implementation of the mold process, which includes transportation, handling, installing, removing, and placement of molds. Responsibilities allows for established practices and/or policies within this job expectation around safety and concern for production initiatives. Best care practices for limitation of damage and utilities around mold setting are paramount to success in this position. Ensures that production schedules for mold placement and removal meeting company objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor molding process on automatic presses

Clean and lubricate all automatic machines and molds

Mold changes

Set up of secondary fixtures

Set up of secondary jobs

Switch on heats, mold controllers, chiller lines, work area lighting

Verify and monitor dryer temperatures

Clean pump bypass filters and restart water tower after power outages

Material handling responsibilities (HR-20)

Assign mold locations

Respond to machine alarms or operator buzzer codes

Machine operator duties/operator relief (HR-21)

Make ongoing machine adjustments within parameters

Create set up sheets

Resolve nonconformance molding issues

Sample new molds

Work area cleanliness
