POSITION OVERVIEW:

Are you passionate about food, nutrition, and making a difference in your community? We are seeking two talented individuals to join us as Cooking Matters Specialists. One of these positions requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish. If you're ready to inspire and empower others through cooking education, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! This position is responsible for planning and executing Cooking Matters Program classes to meet contract requirements, recruiting and training volunteers, marketing the program, and purchasing needed supplies.

This position has a schedule of Monday through Thursday during the afternoon and evenings.

The starting wage range for this position is $17.00-$17.85 an hour. An additional $1 an hour is provided for Bilingual employees. Accepting applications until this role is filled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors Course budgets for courses implemented through Program. Plan and implement Cooking Matters classes. Recruit and train volunteers. Act as volunteer liaison. Purchase needed supplies, equipment, groceries, and ordering of materials for assigned courses. Ensure expenditures are entered into system to ensure budgetary requirements are met. Respond to requests for classes. Be liaison for all aspects of program. Onboarding of State-recruited Integrated Nutrition Education Program (INEP) agencies for Cooking Matters classes.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

If Bilingual, verbally translate for employees who are not bilingual in the event such services are needed. Other duties as assigned.
