Need 7 full-time, temporary, seasonal Nursery/Greenhouse Farmworkers to work in Halstad, MN. From: 01/15/2024 to 11/15/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day, 7:00 am. to 4:30 p.m., and as needed on Saturday and Sunday. Work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Prep tissue culture media and disposable containers. Prep greenhouse for planting plantlets and microtubers. Lay drip irrigation tubes and plumb feeder tubes into watering system. Pull leaf samples for testing. Harvest, grade, and size tubers for seed storage. Replace greenhouse soil. Grade, pack, ship seed potatoes. Clean and disinfect all work areas. Non- smoking environment. Workers who have a clean driving record and insurable driver's license may be required to drive company vehicles. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Employment reference. Must be able to reach 44 inches. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must possess quick hand-eye dexterity, be detail oriented, and able to multitask. Must speak and understand English. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
