dsm-firmenich Senior Delivery Manager - Datacenter Hosting in Heerlen, Netherlands

Location –Maastricht, Netherlands

The Senior Delivery Manager, part of GbS Technology Services, is responsible for the success of the datacenter operations and collaborates in the planning and implementation of end-to-end datacenter services for the entire company. You will manage complex service partners and be responsible for the contract, relationship and the performance management. As a Senior Delivery Manager you will be working with the Chapter Lead Workplace & Datacenter Operations as well as other Delivery Managers in a complex global environment.

Service scope: Operations of global datacenter solutions (Internal datacenters as well as outsourced services) adapted to evolving business needs. Manage and maintain vendor relationship with main datacenter partners.

Key responsibilities

  • You are owner of the Service contracts with the key service providers and accountable for the delivery of these services by this service provider.

  • Service Performance: Experienced in being responsible for the overall performance and management of the connectivity services. You ensure that all relevant components of the services contribute to a stable, reliable, cost-effective, secure and compliant service towards the business based on the needs.

  • Technical Knowledge: The Senior Delivery Manager should have in-dept understanding of datacenter technologies and be familiar with SAP, security and compliance standards related to services. A continuous interest in emerging trends and technologies are key to the success in this role.

  • Risk and Compliance: Experienced in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks associated with connectivity services and familiar with Assurance Reporting. You are able to represent the connectivity services in internal and external audits and as such are familiar with the respective industry standards.

  • You are responsible for proper decisions and mitigations in case of service critical issues.

  • You are responsible for the review and reporting of the service performance towards the dsm-firmenich business, GbS TS Management, DFO, D&T and Regional organization.

  • You challenge IT Suppliers on their service levels and innovation and jointly define strategic Key Performance Indicators and continuously drive improvement and find best balance between quality functionality and costs.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the domain or equivalent experience.

  • +/- 10 years of experience in the domain.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and effective way to senior stakeholders and to all levels in the organization.

  • Service oriented mindset.

  • Experience in managing global datacenter providers especially for mission critical functions including SAP.

  • Ability to collaborate and challenge vendors, broad understanding of SLAs and KPIs, vendor relationship management.

  • Fluent in English, both in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and effective way to senior stakeholders and to all levels in the organization.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and confident in dealing with conflicting interests of the various stakeholders that often clash during work.

Important notes

This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades’ design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles’ nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
