Our client, in Henderson, KY is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compound Plastics Process Engineering Technician to join the team. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the setup of single-screw and twin-screw extruders and technical support for production activities. The Plastics Process Engineering Technician will participate in production planning to optimize machine utilization and provide support for technical training of production operators. The Set-Up Technician will identify any issues related to production and based on prior experience and expertise, will provide the necessary support to the supervisor and operators to run all products effectively.

Pay Range: $30.00/HR+ BOE

What’s the Job?

• Setup extrusion equipment efficiently to minimize down-time and scrap.

• Work with supervisor and operators to maximize extrusion line performance.

• Identify and resolve quality issues.

• Participate in scheduling of lines in order to optimize machine utilization.

• Assist with providing technical training to production operators.

What’s Needed?

• 5 plus years of manufacturing experience in nylon polymers, copolymers and compounds.

• Experience in the set-up of single-screw, twin-screw extruders and the associated equipment to support extrusion operations, for example blending operations

• Able to work 12- hour shifts.
