Job Description

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings. Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs where needed. Monitors and analyzes all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues. Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipment maintenance/performance. Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures. Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation that will meet or improve module availability and performance targets preventing future excursions. During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience may be obtained through schoolwork, internships, military training, or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess the following educational & experience requirements:

• High School graduate with 4+ months of relevant experience in manufacturing or relevant technical field.

Candidate must be willing to:

• Work a day or night shift compressed workweek schedule. The schedule will consist of three twelve-hour days or nights in a row followed by a fourth day or night every other week.

• Work in a cleanroom environment wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.

• Lift up to 25 lbs. 5 times a day, spend the majority of the time (greater than 90) on the floor working toolsets, walking 2-4 miles a day, and or standing/sitting for 9 hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM focused major (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, etc.).

• 1 or more years of semiconductor experience in equipment troubleshooting, installation, qualification, repair, or operation.

• 2 or more years of military experience in a technical field (e.g. electronics, mechanical, etc.).

• 2 or more years of hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, repair or troubleshooting or operation.
