Vineyard UMC in Hutchinson is seeking a spiritually mature, accomplished musician to serve as the contemporary worship leader, to plan and lead worship music, and to recruit and direct a worship band and singers. Duties: To be present at all Sunday morning worship services and other church services as requested. If not able to be present, to find a satisfactory substitute for the service. Plan and lead contemporary worship services with music and prayer that is appropriate to the scriptural theme for each service. Recruit new members for the worship team, inviting musicians to develop and share their gifts. Plan and lead weekly worship team rehearsals. Collaborate with other ministry areas to strengthen and grow disciples. Create an atmosphere of worship that encourages participation and engagement from the congregation. Stay up-to-date with current worship music trends and incorporate new songs into services. Recruit and train volunteers to run the sound system and presentation software during worship. Maintain church s CCLI records and licensing for live-streamed and in-person worship music. Maintain instruments and sound equipment used for worship. Arrange for tuning and maintenance of piano(s and organ). Attend weekly staff meetings.
