Responsibilities

The Cardiothoracic Division of the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Florida (Jacksonville, FL) is seeking a full-time, highly qualified cardiothoracic radiologist to join a dynamic, collegial and subspecialty-focused group of 10 dedicated Cardiothoracic radiologists. Clinical patient care is a priority so the candidate should have strong skills in all facets of Cardiothoracic Imaging.

Mayo Clinic Jacksonville offers a Cardiothoracic Radiology fellowship, has a residency program, and has significant infrastructure for clinically driven investigations. As is typical across all Departments at Mayo Clinic, we enjoy strong synergic relationships with our referring providers. The Division of Cardiothoracic Radiology works in a highly collaborative fashion with our clinical colleagues – especially those from pulmonary and cardiovascular medicine, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, family medicine, and oncology – and supports multidisciplinary conferences and interdisciplinary research projects. Additionally, as one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country, Mayo Clinic Florida has very active cardiac and lung transplant programs. Opportunities for collaborative research, educational endeavors and leadership development abound.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have training experience in both thoracic and cardiac imaging and be proficient in the interpretation of all manner of cardiothoracic examinations. Early career applicants are especially encouraged to apply. A strong desire to be engaged in the education of residents and fellows is required and the desire to advance additional academic interests preferred
