The Invasive Cardiology Technician acts as a patient advocate by assisting the physician and RN with procedures, assessment of patient status, and communication of information in a way that fosters individualized patient care in a cost effective manner. Major Responsibilities: 1. Demonstrates the ability to perform at least two of the following responsibilities: Demonstrates ability to monitor and assess the hemodynamic status of patients during diagnostic, therapeutic and emergency procedures by observing and recording accurately EKGs, wave forms, and oximetry, and reporting changes to physician and/or RN as they occur. Also generates reports in a timely fashion. Assist staff in procedures to promote safety and quality radiographic imaging by positioning patient, table, and C-arm during diagnostic, therapeutic and emergency procedures to obtain both optimal imaging as well as maintaining lowest possible radiation dose. Assists MD during diagnostic, therapeutic and emergency procedures by \"scrubbing in\" to promote skilled procedural practice and maintain sterile field for optimal quality and safe patient outcomes. 2.
