The Role:

To serve as a liaison between Management and Staff as well as assisting the Retail Manager in the daily store operations. Responsible to serve all guests in a professional and friendly manner with an emphasis on knowledgeably selling our products to maximize retail venue. Must show enthusiasm and motivation to sell, maintain store standards and communicate with team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform job functions required of retail staff

  • Reconcile registers per shifts (includes comps, voids, damages)

  • Maintain proper cleanliness of store and stock areas

  • Ensure Accounting receives accurate paperwork

  • Handle merchandise pulls, complete mail orders and mail returns, and update mailing lists

  • Post communication via manager and staff logs

  • Staff supervision, including maintaining staff uniform standards, reviewing breaks for staff and maintaining contact sheets

  • Must maintain superior appearance of store and current displays with direction from manager

  • Receive inventory stock as directed and ensure accurate inventory counts

  • Attend and provide input on supervisor and staff meetings

  • Evaluated on working relationships, judgment, quality of work, dependability/reliability, communication (written/verbal), initiative, development, manageability, and accountability

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Working knowledge of cash handling, cash register systems, retail procedures, inventory counts, receiving procedures

  • Entry level knowledge of Restaurant & Musical Hall operations, computer programs (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar

  • Skills in salesmanship, communication, listening, following direction, delegation of duties

  • Ability to communicate, direct staff, make decisions, delegate and follow up

  • High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred, one year retail experience

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques
