Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a detail-oriented Superintendent to join our clients team in Northern California. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a superintendent in wastewater or wastewater treatment plants. They will be working closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Field Workers. They will be responsible for helping with the project kick off, project execution, and project closeout. They will be spending 100% of their time in the field at different job sites. They should have good communication skills and time management skills as they will be managing multiple projects at a time. Company car and gas card provided!

Project Kick Off

  Provide input to PM for CPM Schedule, various project plans, and submittals

  Review contract documents and develop work plans for the three major phases of GSEs work; civil/underground, structural concrete & mechanical

  Attend Preconstruction Meeting

  Overall responsibility for project mobilization including providing direction to project support regarding all tools & equipment needed

  USA & pothole the site as needed including thorough documentation

  Implement SWPPP measures

  Coordinate with and responsible for survey & layout

Project Execution

  Responsible for promptly notifying the Project Manager (PM) and management about significant issues that could affect safety, work efficacy, schedule, profitability, or GSEs reputation.

  Responsible for managing the Foreman & crews in all of their duties relative to the project

  Sets the overall direction for the crews on the project implementing the work plan, helping to trouble shoot and provide direction for field foreman & crews

  Monitor project budgets, accountable for the profitability of the projects

  Weekly time cards including proper phase codes for work performed on time and accurate

  Help as needed with the processing of submittals

  Create, log, track RFI's and PCOs including daily work tags filled out accurately, timely and signed by the client representative

  Responsible for executing field POs

  Assist as needed in maintaining the Bill of Materials, ensuring that all materials are on site as scheduled for the work

  Upholds safety, corporate culture, and GSEs reputation on the project.

Project Closeout

  Assist with coordination & execution of startup & commissioning

  Responsible for maintaining and satisfying final punch list with the owners representative

  Assist in the completion of GSE internal project closeout documentation

Skills and Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in water or wastewater

     - 2+ year of proven project Superintendent experience in wastewater

     - Valid drivers license

Willingness to travel Experience with Excel and Procure null
