Sierra Nevada Corporation Material Pricing Estimator II in Lone Tree, Colorado

Are you looking to advance your career and flex your supplier price estimation skills in a rewarding industry, join our team! As a Material Pricing Estimator II, you'll be using your skills and expertise to prepare and report costs for our proposals. You'll be responsible for researching and analyzing historical data to facilitate our proposals, developing base cost elements, and organizing cost data and comparisons for management review. You'll act as team member on proposal teams to guide our proposal efforts, representing us throughout the proposal process. Additionally, you'll assist in responses to fact finding questions from customer, and assist in the preparation of DCAA & DCMA audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Procurement during the proposal process ensuring Procurement output is accurate and complete.

  • Analyzing customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

  • Identification and coordination of quote activity; leading multi-functional (and often multi-site) proposal teams.

  • Review input from Procurement personnel for accuracy and audit compliance

  • Following submittal of proposal, assist in preparing detailed responses to fact-finding questions and presenting to manager.

  • Planning and management of multiple new and follow-on proposal efforts, usually in parallel, for several programs within SNC.

  • Participate in proposal team meetings.

  • Participate in proposal process improvement activities.

  • Formatting/data input into a compliant proposal PMSW Worksheet with accurate information from Supplier quotes.

  • Using established tools and best practices [and identifying new opportunities] to improve overall proposal quality and efficiency, working closely with Programs, Planning, Procurement, and Pricing.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to manage multiple proposals at one time

  • Comprehensive written, verbal and analytical skills

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the FAR/DFARS

  • Prior experience with proposal or procurement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $68,926.06 - $94,773.33. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
