Insight Global JR Enablement Engineer in Markham, Ontario

Job Description

In this role you will have a focus on assessing, integrating, and introducing new technologies, services and processes related to submeters, sensors, IOT, and HVAC equipment. You will be apart of a team which is responsible for defining design standards and best practices, leading cross-functional integration projects across departments/subsidiaries, onboarding new equipment into the systems, and operationalizing the processes for the rest of the company.

The ideal candidate will have a networking, IOT background with an interest in working with sensors, meters and being curious. You will like to tinker, find solutions and innovate.

Skills and Requirements

  • 1-4+ years of engineering experience

  • Working knowledge of IPs, Networking, Sensors, IOT, cellular operationalization

  • Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to HVAC systems.

  • Experience with the following; Analyzing data, providing insights, Reviewing diagrams, blueprints and single line charts; Creating best practice documentation; Testing new equipment and providing recommendations

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sensor data and make data-driven decisions for system optimization.

  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills - Familiarity with the appropriate regulatory bodies in this space: Measurement Canada, Electrical Safety Authority, TSSA, OEB, Industry Canada, CSA

  • Understanding of common communication protocols (MODBUS, BACNET) and networking protocols (DHCP,TCP/IP, FTP) null
