Do you crave a job where you can make a difference and serve the public?Central District Health (CDH) (https://cdh.idaho.gov/) is currently recruiting for a motivated Customer Service Representative 2 to join our dedicated group of public health professionals supporting our programs in our McCall office. This position will be scheduled to work approximately 30 hours per week. As this position provides in person support for our McCall office, remote work is not available for this position

Typical Duties:

· Provides front-line customer service and specialized information regarding program rules, policies and procedures for Central District Health's McCall Office;

· Answers phones, screens and routes calls, takes messages using a multiline phone system, and/or documents calls in electronic records;

· Provides appropriate applications, explains fees and researches electronic files for client accounts;

· Provides copies of records in compliance with Idaho’s public records law;

· Explains policies regarding onsite sewage disposal systems, land development, food establishment licensing, and childcare;

· Explains the refund policy and other non-technical aspects of the Environmental Health Programs;

· Reviews submitted forms and applications for completeness and collects appropriate fees;

· Interviews clients to elicit and record sensitive information relating to services provided;

· Assists individuals in securing services and scheduling appointments using an electronic record systems;

· Performs a variety of office support functions such as producing labels, forms; verifying completeness of applications and forms; maintaining record systems and data entry;

· Explains eligibility or compliance requirements for all Central District Health services provided;

· Assesses income during intake process to determine program(s) eligibility;

· Makes changes to services provided based on client needs;

· Verifies insurance as applicable;

· Completes bank deposits as needed;

· Opens and closes the office as needed;

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Some knowledge of:

· Interviewing methods.

Experience:

· Interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws or complex policies to carry out assignments;

· Accessing data using a computerized system;

· Independently handling complaints and upset individuals in a business setting;

· Conducting sensitive fact-finding interviews.
