3000 Skyline Dr, Mesquite TX A new solar manufacturing warehouse is looking for Equipment Technicians! Full time, 12 hr shifts, Weekly Pay on Fridays 1st Shift: 6a-6p 2nd Shift: 6p-6a ($1 differential) Must Haves for Canadian Solar:

• Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment.

• Able to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul.

• Thorough knowledge of load bearing capabilities of the equipment to be installed, assembled, or dismembered.

• Aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications

• Experience in supervising and mentoring apprentices

• Knowledge of PLC, electric and pneumatic parts, schematic/mechanical drawings, machine control, HMI interface

salary: $20 - $21 per hour

work hours: 6 AM - 6 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Equipment Technicians will be asked to:

• Inspect machinery, unload the parts, & assemble with safe and effective use of hand and power tools

• Relocate unassembled equipment, positioning the machinery and pieces that need to be assembled, using hoists, dollies, & trucks

• Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.

• Dismantle machines by using hammers, crowbars, wrenches, and other hand or power tools.

• Where necessary, construct a foundation for new equipment, using building materials, such as wood, cement, and steel.

• Align machines and equipment during installation, using hoists, jacks, squares, ruler, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

• Use lathes to grind, file, and turn machine parts to match the appropriate specifications.

• Assemble all machinery and equipment by bolting, welding, riveting, or fastening them to pre-built foundations.

• Prepare procedures, work instruction, checklist related to machine operation and maintenance.

• Provide training to operators and new employee concerning machine operation and maintenance.

The essential functions of this role include:
