Our engineering & maintenance team in North Engineering Centre is responsible for all aspects of the maintenance in the north maltings. The team delivers improved asset reliability and extraordinary resource utilisation through planning and execution of maintenance tasks and positively contributes to a World Class outlook and actively support the development and successful implementation of strategies to achieve this aim.

*About this role *

As a Maintenance Planner within our hardworking team at Muir of Ord Engineering Centre , you’ll play a pivotal role in the technical assessments of maintenance work.

Join our team as a Maintenance Planning, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in efficiently leading maintenance operations by optimising resources, time, and materials.

Your responsibilities will include developing and deploying effective reliability maintenance plans to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation while supporting the delivery of maintenance and engineering work scopes.

Working closely with maintenance leads, craft groups, and contractors, you'll run planning through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM).

Collaboration with site managers, operators, and technical teams will ensure all maintenance activities are seamlessly integrated into production schedules.

You'll play a pivotal role in deploying the MMS Asset Care Strategy, optimising maintenance schedules, and monitoring KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Your analytical expertise will be utilized to track maintenance improvement projects and provide detailed reporting.

Additionally, you'll lead maintenance review meetings and contribute to the development of focused improvements to enhance plant uptime and cost competitiveness.

About you

You may not have previous experience as a maintenance planner or even in maintenance environment. As long as you have transferable skills, we are happy to support with training. We’d love to hear from you if you have;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels

  • Ability to organise a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly

  • Ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems

  • To push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to lead and drive improvements

  • · HNC level qualification in engineering or equivalent experience is advantageous
