Covenant Health Credentialing Analyst - Share Services - Full time - days in Nashua, New Hampshire

Summary

Responsible for all aspects of credentialing for SJH Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals, assists with facilitating all Medical Staff Committees and Department meetings and functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.

  • Initial Appointment and Reappointments for all Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals, including gathering, verification, and evaluation of confidential healthcare provider credentials, preparing completed credentials files for presentation to the Department Chairperson, Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee and Board of Directors, processing credentialing information following meetings.

  • On-going maintenance of provider statuses, including expirables, change in privileges, staff category, leaves of absence, resignations, etc.

  • Responsible for updating and maintaining credentialing database systems.

  • Maintains current knowledge and compliance with the St. Joseph Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Credentials Procedure Manual, along with all state and federal requirements and accreditation standards.

  • Coordinating and facilitating provider orientation and training.

  • Assist with Medical Staff Committee and Department meetings and functions as assigned, to include collection and preparation of agendas, attendance at meetings, and taking/preparing minutes.

  • Assist with provider CME/Education.

  • Other duties as consistent with this role.

    Job Requirements

    Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Computer skills including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to maintain strictest levels of confidentiality.

    Education and Experience

  • 2 years of office/administrative assistance experience required, in the medical field preferred

  • Associate Degree preferred

    An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands

    Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
