Google Software Engineer, Middleware, Google Nest in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent related practical experience.

  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.

  • Experience coding in C/C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • Experience with full-stack software development.

  • Experienced in working with cross-functional teams.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Nest team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

  • Participate in the full feature development cycle by working closely with cross-functional teams in both MTV and APAC.

  • Contribute to a seamless experience on both products (i.e., tablets and docks).

  • Work on media playback experience between Tablet and Dock leveraging Cast/Bluetooth/Voice by leveraging Better Together.

  • Monitor Better Audio quality via audio processing algorithms running on Tablet or Docks.

  • Innovate smart home experience by leveraging Google Home Platform.
