ELC Beauty LLC Director, Global Visual Merchandising, SDVM Innovation in New York, New York

DUTIES: Design and develop instore collateral, in partnership with the Global Store Design team, and shaping instore consumer journey. Ensure a strong brand presence in a highly competitive marketplace throughout global in-store, perfumeries and Travel Retail environments. Maintain a positive collaborative relationship with all cross-functional departments and coach/mentor members of the team. Responsible for end-to-end management and execution of visual merchandising requests, overseeing all phases of projects: to meet deadlines, including concepting, design stages, obtaining approvals, and seeing all projects to completion. Attend meetings, present concepts, and report on status of current projects. Execute and oversee development of merchandising and technical guidelines and participate in briefing, concept kickoff and all development sessions to discuss objectives and push innovation. Demonstrate an understanding of materials, cost, and time requirements on projects, and maintain awareness of current trends in visual arts and merchandising. Work closely with Global VM Executive Director and Creative Ops to elevate VM designs across the regions. Partner with 360 VM team to understand objectives of NPL projects and ensure new fixtures or units meet the needs and are cascaded to 360 team members. Lead development of VM materials library, drive VM design in sustainability in partnership with RDDC, build an SDVM innovation design team, lead SDVM regional requests with Creative Ops, and research competitive retail landscape and applicable inspiration to share back with VM team.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Design or related field or foreign equivalent and five years of progressively responsible experience as a Visual Merchandiser, Store Designer or related occupation. Experience must include conceptualizing and developing visual merchandising or industrial design and store fixture planning; Rendering and communicating ideas, receptive to creative input and great visual sensibilities; Initiating, ownership, and accountability for design assignments; Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), 3D CAD/ Modelling and rendering experience in MAC/PC environment; Using hand sketching and photography; Performing hand rendering; Completing 3D solid modeling in Solidworks; Performing 3D rendering using Keyshot; Completing model making rapid prototyping; Using smart cutting edge 3D software; Completing complete visual merchandising life cycle from business briefing through to implementation and handover at store. At least two years must include managerial oversight of teams responsible for merchandise displays within stores.

Minimum Salary: 190,341 Maximum Salary: 228,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
