COMPANY NAME:Yipit, LLCPOSITION TITLE:Product Development AnalystPOSITION DUTIES:Work with massive amounts of data on the performance of important companies, using proprietary methods, including learning vital techniques on ensuring data accuracy and deriving key insights across a number of types of data: Collect, clean, and transform massive amounts of data from multiple internal and external sources to construct comprehensive datasets used in market-leading products for institutional investors, large US retailers, and global manufacturers. Use advanced analytical and statistical techniques (fuzzy logic, regression analysis, outlier identification, modeling of trends in big data, etc.) to build new dataset features that enhance existing products and enable new ones. Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on datasets to proactively identify and resolve issues. Communicate consistently and proactively in both written and verbal formats to share learnings and maintain effective collaboration with teammates. Liaise with other teams to understand their needs, fix dataset problems affecting them, and build new datasets and features for them. Develop a strong understanding of multiple retailers to explain trends, identify and address data abnormalities, and assist data users. Use SQL and Python to manipulate data, construct datasets, and build web scrapers. Key producers of its data products received by its institutional investor clients. Utilize Python and SQL to sharpen existing skills by vetting and building new data products. Work with massive amounts of data on the performance of important companies, using proprietary methods. Learn vital techniques on ensuring data accuracy and deriving key insights across a number of types of data. Create and write data reports that are consumed by the top investors in the world. Gain insight into how investors think about companies and the most important questions they need to answer to make stock portfolio decisions.
