Core Responsibilities

  • At Con Edison we have, and we all need to take special interest in our customers, both within the company and externally.   • Monitor and analyze climate projection trends related to electric, gas, steam and affiliate businesses.

  • Support financial analysis of current and potential business resilience investment opportunities and the valuation of resilience initiatives.

  • Perform financial analysis of investment options for climate adaptation and mitigation projects/programs.

  • Support evaluation of growth oriented, resilience opportunities for the utility businesses.

  • Provide climate and data modeling and analytical support to team members.

  • Review and verify climate data provided by external and internal subject matter experts.

  • Conduct all business in a proactive, customer-centric manner to foster trust and confidence among customers and improve value for all

  • our stakeholders.

  • Prepare relevant presentations and concept material, for executive communications and participate in presenting the materials in various venues.

  • Work with other company members and lead or participate in team assignments.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and growth-mindset, work environment.

  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required to expand employee knowledge base and personal growth.

  • Attend relevant seminars (including offsite and out-of-town) to benchmark and gather new information and ideas to develop a broad outlook for climate business strategies.

  • Guide and coach more junior team members to impart knowledge and experience.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferably in engineering, environment/environmental policy, data or climate science or economics/finance from university or college. and 3-5 years' experience with a minimum 3 years in a related industry , or a strong demonstrated capability to understand strategic, clean energy, or resilience issues in the utility/energy industry.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree

Relevant Work Experience

  • Three to five years experience with a minimum 3 years in a related industry, or a strong demonstrated capability to understand strategic, clean energy, or resilience issues in the utility/energy industry. Required

  • Experience in leading teams, Junior analysts, or project supervision. Required

  • Data or financial modeling experience. Required

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point, Word, and Microsoft applications. Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required

  • Ability to compile, analyze, and synthesize data in presentations and reports. Required

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

  • Other: Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Required

  • Other: Must be able to participate in the Company emergency management processes and storm plans as required Required

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
