Digital Merchandiser

Newark, NJ

The Digital Merchandiser plays a critical role in bringing the iconic Mars Wrigley portfolio to life online across our ecommerce retailer websites and will be responsible for shaping how shoppers learn and engage with our brands online. The associate will focus on winning the algorithm through optimizing content for search based on defined keywords, and driving progress in Perfect Digital Store (PDS). The Digital Merchandiser will also oversee publishing best-in-class content across retailers such as Amazon, Target, Kroger, Meijer, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart.com and many more.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
1 years experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the CPG industry
Experience in reporting and analytics
Good communication and presentation skills to educate & report across metrics
Advanced with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with building collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment


Preferred Qualifications:
eCommerce & digital merchandising experience
Experience with SEO
Customer facing experience


What will be your key responsibilities?
Drive Perfect Digital Store (PDS) improvements across retailers' pages, focused on perfect page (content & ratings and reviews) and perfect position (winning the search algorithm) using tools such as Salsify, Syndigo, BazaarVoice, eFundamentals, and Power BI.
Responsible for item setup & content management (Salsify, Syndigo, Stibo, etc) & content syndication (basic content, above the fold, below the fold, video, etc) across customers.
Develop strategies to win the customer algorithm, lead customer specific PDP test & learns and create SEO optimized content by coordinating with brands (everyday & seasonal), customer teams and agencies
Partner with Digital Hive & team lead to develop & upload content for new products, seasonal rotations, micro-moments, innovation, deweights, etcd and ensure products are live and updated on retailers' websites at the respective launch/discontinuation dates.
Bring forward insights for MWC by analyzing competitors' content, search & merchandising strategy around key criteria: content quality, ratings, and reviews & search.
Lead special projects like Mobile Images, Content Playbooks, building digital muscle with brand & Sales teams, etc.
