As ColumbiaSportswear’s Risk Program Analyst you’ll report to the Director of Risk Management, leading in-depth technical analysis and riskadministration for insurance projects and programs. You’ll apply advanced concepts, theories,principles and practices to drive analysis, creativity and evaluations ofapproaches and processes to varied, risk related efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Developand nurture key strategic business relationships in order to provide effectiveguidance on Risk Management issues to key internal customers.
  • Actas an advisor to the business with respect to insurance coverage terms andconditions, communication of deductibles or self-insurance.
  • Leadthe company’s global employee health and safety program. Analyse strategies to advance the program;identify areas of deficiency and create/implement programs to match or exceedcompliance with governmental requirements and standards.
  • Analyserisks related to events and marketing campaigns (including sweepstakes, outdooreditor/blogger activities, editorial campaigns, road shows, mobile marketingtrucks, retail store marketing, and product photo shoots), etc.
  • Leadproperty loss prevention inspection process to maintain the company’s HighlyProtected Risk (HPR) status. The dutiesmay include: participation as company representative during inspections ofmajor locations; assist the locations in analyzing structural engineering and housekeepingrecommendations; determining the best solution for the location and company;contributing to building the business case including the ROI analysis; andleading the response to the insurance company representative outliningColumbia’s response to the recommendations.
  • Reviewcontracts, personal services agreement, including leases, SAAS and other ITagreements to analyse and effectively transfer risk to third parties, whilecontrolling the risks being transferred to Columbia. Verify that adequate insurance coverage isprovided and maintained by all parties to a contract.
  • Report,and process 3rdparty casualty and 1stparty workers’compensation claims.

Experience:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Finance, Risk Management, Organizational Safety Management,Insurance, Industrial Engineering or other related field. Combination of relevant education andexperience may substitute for degree completion.
  • 5+years in Risk analysis/program management, Insurance, Finance, Economics, Law,Business Administration, or related field.
  • Appliedknowledge of health and safety programs.
  • Intermediateto advanced knowledge of risk management and loss prevention strategies,domestic and international legal environments, and Highly Protected Risk (HPR)engineering standards based on Factory Mutual (FM) engineering datasheets.
  • Intermediateknowledge of 3rdparty claims management strategies within workers’compensation or casualty coverage lines.
  • ARM,CPCU, AIC or equivalent certification preferred.
