This is a hybrid research assistant position. Some work will be completed virtually. In addition, work will be required at participating local community clinics to recruit and enroll study participants. There may be mileage reimbursement for travel to 2 local clinics.

Job Summary

The research assistant will be part of a collaborative research team from the College of Nursing and the School of Dentistry embarking on an innovative pilot study. The aim of this research is to explore the association between history of trauma, dental health, and dental services utilization. We anticipate that this study will launch future studies to implement trauma-informed care in dentistry. The research assistant will work directly with the PI, Co-PI, clinic staff and administration, and study participants. The research assistant will contribute to scholarly products including manuscript submission to a peer-reviewed academic journal.

Responsibilities

Attend weekly research team meetings and other meetings as needed, often virtual.

Study liaison between research team and clinic/community sites which will include local travel.

Study recruitment in local health care clinics.

Administration of survey to study participants.

Tracking of OnCore Services reimbursement to study participants.

Preliminary quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Literature review as needed.

Assisting in development of scholarly products for dissemination.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
