• 3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM

• 3rd Shift: $26.37/hour + 8% Shift Premium

As a Robot Technician at Caterpillar, you will: Under general supervision, be responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of robotic welding equipment and other duties as assigned. Typically reports to a supervisor.

• Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic fixtures.

• Follows documented procedures standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free work and adjustment of components and machines.

• Perform other related work duties as assigned.

• Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea

• Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.

• Keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.

• Must be able to function as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean an orderly work area

• Contributing team member

• Must have effective communications skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

• Ability to perform repetitive operations.

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires a mechanical or electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge of fabrication and machining practices.

• Must have GMAW welding experience

• Proficient computer skill with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints

Desired Qualifications:

Robotic experience with:

• Touch Sensing

• Through the Arc Seam Tracking

• Position Registers

• User Frames

• Tool Center Point

• Welding/Weaving Schedules

• Remastering

• Macros
