ADP HR Business Partner in Shanghai, China

Overview:

Provide a broad range of Human Resources expertise to support the achievement of business strategy. Provides guidance and assistance in the implementation of HR policies, programs, and procedures for an assortment of functions which may include compensation and/or benefits, talent acquisition, training, talent management, performance management, and/or associate relations. Advises local management and associates on HR policy and programs matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions in keeping with strategic direction.

Major role & responsibility:

  • Partner and collaborate with business leaders and provide HR guidance and support.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, associate development and conflict resolution.

  • Change Management agent, supporting organizational/cultural changes.

  • Work closely with HR Director to assist with the planning, communicating and tracking of company-wide initiatives.

  • Partner closely with HR COEs and Shared Services, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll & Lodgment, HRIS, Talent/Performance Manager and others to ensure seamless HR delivery in locations/BUs support.

  • Support the Talent Acquisition process to ensure qualified candidates are hired in a timely manner and effectively onboarded.

  • Ensure timely and accurate data update in internal HCM systems;

  • Responsible for performance management process and systems, including providing training and guidance to management.

  • Address compensation-related issues to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Compile and leverage key site metrics to inform and/or persuade business leadership about organization and people performance and engagement.

  • Coach and counsel leaders on a variety of HR-related practices.

  • Support organizational design, restructure and redundancies.

  • Facilitate training for managers and individual contributors on HR programs and policies.

  • Participate or lead projects to develop and/or improve HR-related programs and policies.

  • Other initiatives assigned by the manager.

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources or other Business-related discipline, and/or 8-12 years in HR, including minimum 5 years of experience as a HR generalist or HRBP.

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and experience in establishing and/or continuously improving HR-related processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

  • Experience on working in a complex/matrix organization environment preferred

  • Experience on with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)-related activities preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Good business acumen to effectively align HR strategies with business objectives.

  • Proficient in analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies to support organizational change initiatives.

  • Ability to think strategically with strong execution skills.

  • Ability to build relationship and influence stakeholders and associates.

  • Familiar with local employment laws and local talent market.

  • Cross-cultural experience and agility.

  • Good project management skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English; understanding Japanese would be a plus.

  • Familiar with HRIS knowledge and experience, eg. Workday, Success factor, etc.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
