CITY OF SPRINGFIELD Engineer I in SPRINGFIELD, Missouri


Our Public Works Department is growing! We are currently seeking an Engineer I to perform entry-level engineering work across the Public Works division in a variety of areas including Stormwater, Transportation, and Traffic.

As an Engineer I, you will perform duties related to Capital Improvement Projects across the City.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering discipline providing appropriate engineering education related to the specialty area with current vacancy.

Licensing/Certification

  • If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Driver's License;
  • Must possess Engineering Intern (EI) certification or acquire within probationary period.
