• Responsible for handling Design To Order (DTO) Team & Activity for MV & LV Retrofit Solutions, MV & LV Panel Modification, Upgradation, Uprating, Revamp & Refurbishment requirements within MV/LV Service Portfolio.

• Re Engineering of Existing Siemens / Non Siemens MV/LV Breakers, Panels & create a complete Manufacturing documents including Bill of Material, General Arrangement Drawings, Assembly Drawings, Component Level Drawings etc. as per Siemens Design Guidelines. Basic knowledge of dimensioning of components and conductors within the MV/LV Switchboards. Proper knowledge of selection of material & various surface treatments required in switchgear industry.

• Manage Complete DTO Activities (Mechanical Activity) & respective team within SI EA CS & ensure equal loadings of jobs to each one within the Team. Provide full Support to them to achieve expected output to meet timelines associated with the jobs.

• Prepare & Monitor Job Release Timeline Chart to achieve Contractual delivery dates. Make sure job is well assigned with all necessary resources to the Team Member.

• Conduct Site Visit at various locations Within & Outside India for measurement of existing Siemens / Non Siemens MV/LV Circuit Breaker & Panels. Ensure Site Safety in all respect & follow 6 Golden Rule before approaching LIVE Switchboard. Make Sure Team Members are suitably trained & Certified from EHS to do the Site visits or Site Activities.

• Study Customer Inquiries / Tender Documents, Prepare base design estimation, Technical Specification Document, List of Clarifications, Deviation sheets if any. - Get the Pre Offer Inputs in prescribed format, collect photos & various dimensions from Customer. If necessary Visit site & Measure dimensions from Site personally by taking all SAFETY precautions.

• Do the feasibility study based on received inputs from Sales, Customer Etc. Conclude best fit economical retrofit solution matching with Customer requirement. Decision Making (Go/NoGo Decision, Offer Decision) and giving & Obtaining releases. Clarification of Technical requirements. Offer Product selection, Risk categorization & evaluation from design / development of retrofit solution prospective.

• Discuss & notify important points with Engineering Team & schedule development of New retrofit solutions.

• Need a very Good knowledge of Fabrication, Machining & Insulated Molding Components. Able to read mechanical drawings properly. Able to calculate Weight & Cost of each item for quick estimation.

• Need a very good knowledge of IEC Standards, Type Test Requirements, GTP, & fulfillment of technical specifications specifically for MV & LV Circuit Breaker & Panels.

• Publish Flyers, Catalogue for newly made retrofit solutions & announce to all Sales Community for better visibility.

• Keep a close track & monitoring of available retrofit solutions & keep it upgraded with Newly available range of Breakers from Local Factory.

• Drive assigned Global R&D Projects for MV/LV Retrofit Activity.

• Able to Read & Understand SLD, MV / LV Panel Schemes for Incomers, Bus coupler & Other Trafo / Outgoing Feeders. Basic knowledge of Relays, protections & different type of Feeders in MV / LV switchboards.

• Visit Sites to understand Modification requirements within MV & LV Panels. Able to demonstrate prior experience of Siemens in front of Customer towards Service Activities.

• Able to Propose a cost effective solutions to the Customer. Demonstrate a good bundled Solution keeping Value Chain in mind.

• Help Sales Order Execution team to achieve contractual delivery dates by properly managing available timelines for Retrofit Design. Wherever required release Prototype Solution prior to manufacture complete Lot. Track the Prototype development in all respect at procurement & supplier level. Incorporate all necessary changes studied at Prototype stage & make the DTO release accordingly.

• Make sure gathering of Feedbacks from Shop Floor, Supplier, Procurement Team, SCM related to the released design & update as soon as receive feedback from them.

• Maintain Change Note documents for every changes observed during manufacturing stage in the BOM, Drawing & Assembly document.

• Prepare Method Statement if any required to make the changes at remote location to ensure fitment / assembly as expected.

• Support Procurement / SCM / Supplier to resolve various issues observed during manufacturing, visit them & monitor progress. Attend Customer Complaint on Top most priority & resolve it within prescribed timeline.

• Support during Installation / Commissioning Activities.

• Drive various growth measures including Digitalization, Value Mapping & other HQ initiatives towards different portfolios.

• Prior experience in client facing roles is a must especially an understanding of different cultures, their mindsets and their expectations.

• Minimum 5 years’ of experience with min. 2 years of relevant experience in Retrofit Designs for MV / LV domain.

• Highly Proficient with Medium & Low Voltage products / Systems / Retrofits. Deep Knowledge of Mechanical Interlockings required in MV/LV Breakers, Panels.

• Knowledge about IEC Standards related to MV/LV Switchgear System.

• Familiar with Manufacturing Processes/Material Standards, measuring and test equipment.

• Good communication skills & Customer orientation.

• Good working knowledge on Team Center, 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, MS Office Tools.
