Position summary:

Work as part of the Network Services Integration team to deliver network infrastructure projects in line with identified requirements. Work with key stakeholders to ensure that all deliverables are complete within agreed timelines to Stryker standards.

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware to company standards.

  • Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes in line with architectural guidance.

  • Work with project teams to ensure that during discovery phase detailed planning is done to ensure network designs meet business need and minimize risk during operational lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs and identify areas within the Global Network that need risk mitigation.

  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

  • Ensure handover to Network Operations team is completed at the end of all projects and changes including, network diagrams and documentation, network monitoring, configuration backups, network maintenance agreements and circuits billing are in place where appropriate.

  • Follow company procedures and ITIL best practice for Change, Incident, Capacity and Problem management.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.

  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services are delivered in line with expectation to ensure successful delivery of services.

  • Implement and maintain network security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.

  • Manage and/or provide guidance to members of the team.

  • Implement and maintain controls and security to comply with regulations including but not limited to FDA, SOX, ISO regulatory authorities. Coordinate, prepare and respond to all IT audit requests and resolve any audit findings.

  • Work closely with the Network Services Engineering Team to identify opportunities enhance network designs/standards and ensure current standards are followed.

  • Work with the Network Operations team to help resolve high impact network issues in a timely manner.

Education & special trainings:

  • Current Cisco CCNP, PCNSE or equivalent professional certification.

  • ITIL v3 foundation or higher qualification desirable.

  • Oral/Written Communication Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience and demonstrated ability to design and implement with Cisco LAN, WAN, WLAN and Palo Alto Firewalls based on standards-based architecture.

  • Applied technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including the OSI model and TCP/IP

  • Experience of Python or other scripting language and network automation desirable.

  • Experience of Data Centre environment, Nexus Switching and F5 load balancing desirable.

  • Experience of delivering network infrastructure in a regulated manufacturing environment and manufacturing systems desirable

  • Experience of cloud networking desirable.

  • Experience of deploying SD-WAN desirable.

  • Experience of deploying Palo Alto Firewalls desirable.

  • Experience in Infoblox technology desirable.

  • Applied knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Experience working in multinational company/environment desirable

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
