Emerson Project Manager in Tokyo, Japan

Job Summary

  • As project team manager, you will be responsible for managing Japan project management team while improving project management business process.

  • In this position, you will have the opportunity to provide insight encourage the tam and practice strong leadership to assure the Japan project business meets and exceeds agreed targets.

  • And you will require excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • If you have a deep understanding of project management and collaborator engagement, this role is perfect for you.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Monitors projects progress and ensure that key project deliverables deadlines and Key Performance Indicators (important metrics) goals are met.

  • Provides mentorship and support to project team members.

  • Leverages on best practices to improve project management business processes and utilize productivity improvement digital tools.

  • Participates and contributes to Project Sales and Finished Goods forecasting process.

  • Improves Project Managers’ skills and proficiencies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  •  Optimize project organization structures based on business needs.

  • Managing ad hoc Projects based on emerging needs/ opportunities.

Who You Are:

  • You build strong project team organization and provide better solution to team members.

  • You manage, help and give required information to team members for handling project orders using resource inside/outside Japan.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in project management.

  • Business level proficiency in Japanese. Good command of spoken and written English is a must.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Software Engineering or similar qualification

  • Experience in managing engineering projects involving plant monitoring instruments and/or system solutions.

  • Experience in dealing with major Japanese EPCs

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
