Key job responsibilities

As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering web experiences that enables Sponsored Display advertisers to manage their ad campaigns in a frictionless manner. You will focus on enhancing the advertiser experience including leveraging the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities that delight our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ship features from design to release as well as to optimize tools, processes to improve upon operational excellence for your team and for our integrators.

We believe strongly in experimentation, iterating quickly and getting feedback from our customers. As a member of this team, you'll will lead the efforts to help our advertisers increase their shopper reach by delivering on new expansion initiatives, accelerate innovation, and maximize advertiser return on investment.

This involves deep understanding of the advertising front-end architecture and technologies and the employment of cutting edge techniques. About the team

Sponsored Display is Amazon Advertising’s self-service display advertising offering, which empowers any advertiser – regardless of budget size, advertising experience, or technical expertise – to set up display campaigns that show on key placements across Amazon retail website and apps, devices (Kindle, Fire Tablet, Fire TV, Echo), third party websites (e.g. nytimes.com) and mobile apps. As a startup product within Amazon Advertising, our team needs to be highly nimble and move quickly to release new features and capabilities. Our team participates in research to better understand our advertising customers which allows us to implement engaging user experiences as we implement new features across the many different areas of Sponsored Display.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Toronto, ON, CAN

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

  • 2+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of agile software development methodology experience

  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
